JOSEPH PARK BOARD February 26,2007 Members Present: Marge, Cory, Chuck, Lonnie, Alison, Dale, Dick, Judy (City Liaison) Call to Order: 7:00 p.m. Approval of Minutes: Amend the minutes to Allison with one 1 (Alison) motion by Bruce, second by Lonnie to approve minutes as amended. Motion passed. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Marge, second by LOnIlie to approve the agenda. Motion passed. New Park Board Members: Dick Taufen will be permanent member of the Park Board. Judy Weyrens has agreed to be City Liaison for the next 6 months or they find a replacement. Northland Park: Lonnie and Marge met at Northland Park and measured an area to put another playground in. Marge wanted to know what was left in the budget. There is $15,000 for 2007 and an addition $10,000 for 2008. There will be a person from Game Time to give a presentation to the Park Board on the equipment and costs. Centennial Park: Improvements, we got a second bid from Action Electric the bid was $5,895 for inside the building. Lions Club plans to have Saturday morning working meetings at the park to help install the improvements. Work needs to be done by the second week in May. Cory discussed what we need to do inside the building and will call members when we need to start. We need a garbage dumpster for the concrete. Motion by Bruce, second by Marge to accept the bid from On the Mark for the electric work inside the building. Motion passed. Millstream Park: City agreed to do the prep work for the basketball court. Klinefelter Park: Dick showed a picture of a sign to be made and posted on both sides of the parking lot. The signs will cost $63.84 a piece. Motions by Marge, second by Alison to have Dick purchase the 2 signs. Motion passed. Large discussion followed on how we will divide these parking lots. Motion made by Marge, second by Cory to recommend to the City that they tar and curb the parking lot when improving the City street this summer. Motion passed. New Business: 1. We will receive funds from the new Industrial Park the amount is not determined yet. 2. No news on Safe School Grant. 3. City will put up a new swing at Hollow Park. Were asked if we wanted the galvanized posts painted and we said no. City Liaison Report by Dale Wick: Wanted to know what we wanted to do with Cloverdale Park. We decided we need City resident input so we scheduled an Open House Meeting March 19,2007 at 7:00 p.m. at City Council Chambers. Judy will send notices out to the neighboring residence.
