ST. JOSEPH PARK BOARD
MARCH 19, 2007
Members Present: Chair Bruce Berghorst. Members Chuck Muske, Lonnie Abott, Alison Brown,.
DaleWick. Public Works Director Dick Taufen, City Administrator Judy Weyrens.
Call to Order: 7:00 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: Motion by Lonnie, seconded by Bruce to approve the minutes. Motion
passed.
Approval of Agenda: Motion by Chuck, seconded by Lonnie to approve the agenda. Motion
passed.
~orthland Park: Marge and Lonnie will meet with Game Time and hopefully have somebody to
give a proposal to the board. There was a discussion to add a parking lot at the same time as the
playground. We decided not to do the parking lot at this time.
Centennial Park: Gohman should paint the shelter in April. We would like to have the inside
work done by the end of April.
Millstream Park: City will remove halfthe horseshoe courts from west to east to make way for
basketball court.
Klinefelter Park: Plan is turned in to City Council to have them approve if we are to tar the
parking lot. We need Tracy to draw up the plans for the second parking lot. The signs are in for the
parking lot and City will put them in as the frost permits.
Hollow Park: City will put up the swing set as time permits.
Reports: .
Dale Wick: 2 estimates for overpass over County Road 75 both came in at 1.4 million. The 2
likely locations are College Avenue or 4th Street. Steve Danielson from the Boy Scouts wants to do
his eagle project of putting garbage cans down at Millstream campground. It is okay with the Park
board and City.
Dick Taufen: Suggested that we look into replacing the playground equipment at Centennial
Park. He also suggested moving the meetings to the 4th Monday of the month. We decided to give
it a try.
