ST. JOSEPH PARK BOARD
JUNE 25 2007
Members Present:
Marge, Cory, Chuck, Alison, Dale, Dick, Judy, Lonnie and Bruce. .
Call to Order:
7:20 p.m.
Approval of Minutes:
Motion by Dick to amend last months minutes, the cost for the lock system
for the centennial bathrooms is 2,342 not 400 dollars. Motion 2nded by Alison, Motion Passed
Approval of Agenda:
Motioned by Chuck and seconded by Lonnie to approve. Motion Passed.
New Business:
It was noted that there is a scout from St. Joe that needs ideas for an Eagle Scout
Project we were to think about that..
Centennial Park:
Dicks punch list is now complete, he went thru it twice. The new locks are
ordered, he is in the process of finding the right color paint to make the old building match the new.

He has a crew that will paint the building Aug 6. Cory will have the gutters put on the west side of
the building and fix the missing facia. We reviewed our total Bill for this Project, $116656.84 was
spent so far, Bills left _ $2342 Locks, $990 2 picnic tables, $350 to replace inside door, Plus the
cost of gutters and facia. Our budget was $125000.00 Good job on the picnic tables Marge.
Millstream Park:
The cement pad was poured was poured by Klien Goerger Builders, (KGB).
They also put in a sidewalk at no extra charge. THANKS. Mike Stawarski talked to Cory and they
chose a different style backboard that should hold up better it was also $1500. Cheaper than what
we had in mind. Great job Cory and Mike. The basketball poles s/b here the last week of June/ the
first week of July.

Klinefelter Park:
Its scheduled to have the parking lot tarred July 9;Dick is still working out a
compromise to install the second sign.

Northland Park:
Phase 1 and Phase 2 has been approved by the city council, Marge and Lonnie
are in the process of ordering the new equipment, if they get it ordered now it should be here in late
August.
Hollow Park:
Dick was not able to have the swing set installed yet he said it should be done soon.
Jottings:
The sign ordinance was tabled till next year; it would not help them this year anymore.
We reviewed our Budget and Bills for the year; we are questioning whether we need a porta pot

there all year long. The Lake Wobegon Association’s next meeting is August 26 Garrison Keiller
will be there to open the last phase of the trail, were all invited to attend.

Adjournment:
Next months meeting will be July 30 as several Park Board members had
commitments on July 23.
