Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning
Commission for the City of St. Joseph met in special session
on Monday, August 19, 1991 at 7:30 p. m. in the St. Joseph
City Hall.
Members Present: Chair Hub Klein, Members of the Commission:
Sr. Kathleen Kalinowski, Linda Viehauser, Ken Hiemenz, Da.n
Nierengar+.e n. Judy Weyrens, Deputy Clerk.
Others Present: Fred Sandal, Stuart Goldschen.
Goals and Objectives: The purpose of this special meeting was
to discuss goals and objectives of the comprehensive plan.
Fred Sandal, representative from the St. Gloud Area Planning
Organization, appeared before the commission to discuss the
goals. Among the goals and objectives discussed were social,
and physical goals. After lengthy discussion, Mr. Sandal
stated that he would draft the goals a.nd objectives discussed
for the next planning commission meeting and they could at
that time discuss them further.
Pond View Rir~~e Addn: Chair Klein reported to the commission
on his recent visit to the St. Cloud APO discussing 12th Ave
SE. He, along wit h Linda Viehauser and Dan Nierengarten
dis cussed with Bill Hansen the f+a+.ure transportation plan.
Mr. Hansen felt that it is important to preserve 12th Ave SE
as a major artery, and the proposed pla n should be re-drafted
to illustrate that. Chair Klein will met with City Engineer
Joe Eettendorf to fu rther disc+ass this.
Klein adjourned the meeting at 9:15 p.m.
