Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning Commission for
the City of St. Joseph met in special session on Monday, June 22, 1992
at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph City Hall.
Members Present: Acting Chair Sr. Kathleen Kalinowski, Linda
Sniezek, Ken Hiemenz, Kurt Schnieder, Dan Nierengarten, Donald "Bud"
Reber. Secretary of the Board Judy Weyrens.
Others Present: Council Liaison Stephanie Hazen, Fred Sandal.
The purpose of the special meeting was to continue the process of
updating the comprehensive plan. Fred Sandal, St. Cloud APO discussed
the necessary elements in revising a community comprehensive plan with
respect as to what elements the Planning Commission has remaining.
During the discussion of adopting an official map, the Commission
requested this item be placed on the agenda for the Joint Meeting
between the City Council and the Planning Commission. Additionally,
they requested that legal opinion be sought on adopting an official
map, and to have the City Attorney present at the Joint Meeting. On
the same agenda, the Commission would like to discuss the proposed
transportation plan and the corridor through the College/Convent of St.
Benedict.
The Commission requested the following items be placed on the July 6,
1992 Planning Commission agenda:
1. Assessment Policy
2. Reviewing the maximum allowed garage size
3. Parking spaces and allowable dimensions
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
