RE: Miscellaneous Information
Rental Housing The rental housing information has been forwarded to all landlords and
they are asked to have their inspections scheduled by June 15. The
Ordinance requires that all persons requesting a Rental License must
submit a list of the tenants. We are asking that Landlords bring a copy
of their lease with them to the inspection to verify the names that are
submitted.
Liberty Pointe I met with some residents in the Liberty Pointe Subdivision that are
impacted by the Association documents. As some of you may know, the
Association is not functional as the developer let some of the properties
go ending up in foreclosure. The Association includes a private road
which the City is not responsible for plowing. The City is not the
enforcer of the Association documents, nor can we provide legal advice.
I met with the residents to try and help them get the Association back
on track.
License Violations The City Office and Police Department have been working on enforcing
the Rental Ordinance and recently 3 person were cited and appeared
before a Judge. They were fined either $ 200 or $250 depending on the
Judge they appeared before. A fourth property owner was charged with
an Administrative fine along with a notice that the property must be
compliant with the Ordinance. The Police will continue to follow and
make sure that the properties are brought into compliance. If they are
not, they will be charged again.
Liquor Violation Loso's Main Street Pub received a bar violation for selling to a minor.
This infraction is covered by the matrix and since this is the first vioaltino
in the past twelve months, the step one fine is charged, $ 150.00. The
Police Chief has discussed the matter with the license holder and they
are not disputing the violation. The ti lne has since been paid.

the City that we were suspending our membership. She stated that understands
and they are having similar discussion with other non profits. She also suspects
that other Cities may do the same. The City Membership is paid through
September and we will be members until that time. The Board will also be
discussing how to handle nonprofit and municipal memberships.
