Councilors RE: Update: Downtown Land/Streetscaping Steve Frank Bob Loso Background: Renee Symanietz At the April EDA meeting, members reviewed a proposal from Randy Schmitz at Scenic Dale wick Specialties relating to master planning services for the City of St. Joseph/EDA. The master planning services specifically relate to the development of a landscape/streetscape plan for EDA the Minnesota Street and College Avenue corridors within the Downtown and north to the Carolyn Maggie- Wobegon Trail Center. Heinen Ken Jacobson As per EDA direction I have submitted donation requests to the following: Al Rassier Tom Skahen 1. Stearns Electric (Round Up) Dale wick 2. St. Joseph Chamber 3. Box 696 Mayor St. Joseph MN 56374 Al Rassier Dear President Dotzler and Chamber Members: Councilors Steve Frank The St. Joseph Economic Development Authority (EDA) has asked me to reach out to potential Bob Loso entities who may contribute toward the cost of streetscape design services. The EDA extends a Renee Symanietz special thank you to current and past Chamber members for their efforts within the community! Dale Wick Please find attached additional information regarding a proposal the EDA has received from EDA Randy Schmitz at Scenic Specialties for design work related to streetscape/landscaping within Carolyn Maggie- the Minnesota Street and College Avenue areas. The purpose of the streetscape design is to Heinen link the Wobegon Trail Center to the Downtown and the Downtown to the proposed CSAH 2 Ken Jacobson new construction. The EDA is interested in developing design materials that can be used to Al Rassier conduct fundraising efforts for actual installation of streetscape elements in the future. Other Tom Skahen small communities in Stearns County including Avon and Freeport have attracted donations to Dale wick streetscape/landscape projects through the use of design materials.
