Attached you will find the activity report for the month of May. There were 229 reported incidents
during the month of May. This compares with 2 ] 3 reported incidents in 2008 and 239 reported incidents
in 2007.
With the conclusion of the college year I am pleased to report that there were no notable incidents that
took place. Senior Farwell was a success thanks in part to the cooperation between the two colleges and
city staff. I believe we have a successful plan in dealing with this situation and have seen de-escalation in
major incidents at this event.
We are gearing up for Saint stock and the aid and 4`h of July. It is still unclear on how large of gathering
that Saint stock will be. Tl1is is a drop day for us and we have no overtime scheduled. The aid and 4`s of
July we anticipate will be as large or larger than last year. We will have a significant amount of overtime
involved with this event. Overtime incurred on the aid will be billed back to the Church of St. Joseph.
The overtime incurred on the 4`h of July during the parade has usually been covered by the City. All in all
these two days will be long and busy.
