RE: Miscellaneous Information
Union Negotiations The City has received the Notice of Desire to negotiate the labor agreement
between the City of St. Joseph and AFSCME. This is the first notice that they are
starting the process. The Council will need to establish the negotiating
committee for the contracts. It has typically included two members of the
Council.
Budget 2010 Included in the FYI section is a budget schedule for 2010. The Department
heads will be meeting on Wednesday in the AM to discuss the preparation and
ideas to work in the LGA reductions.
Planning Information The City has received the new application for S & H Partnership. Staff is in the
process of reviewing the material for completeness. If the application is
complete, it could be placed on the Planning Commission agenda as early as
July.
Percheron Properties has submitted an application for Special Use to allow rental
in the former Linneman Buildings. Staff is reviewing this application as well.
The Stonehouse has submitted an application to expand their facility to
accommodate weddings and special events. This matter will be placed on the
July agenda as well.
