Minutes approved. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Bruce, seconded by Lonnie. Agenda approved. Treasurers Report: Motion by Bruce to approve, seconded by Cory. Treasurer's report approved. Capital Improvement Plan-Northland Park Terry informed the Board that the playground equipment and border are in, and that fall-area fill is needed. Terry confirmed with the League of MN Cities that we can use engineered woodchips in the fall area of playground equipment and that he had a quote for $4656 to fill in the area and meet depth specs, but he wasn't sure if that quote included tax. A motion was made by Bruce to order engineered woodchips for the new Northland playground fall area for up to $5,000. Motion seconded by Marge. Motion approved unanimously. Cory and Lonnie agreed to ask the St. Joseph Lions Club about helping us relocate some of the old equipment in Northland to Millstream since they were unable to help us with the new equipment in Northland. Capital Improvement Plan-Centennial Park Marge met with the Rep from Game Time playground equipment to discuss a quote for replacing the existing equipment at Centennial Park with new equipment. Marge received a quote for $24,000. After discussing the equipment, it was determined that additional items were needed to complete the project-estimated $2,000 for new border, and $5,000 for fall-area fill. Since there are additional expenses with the new playground equipment the Board decided that we should request additional funding from the %2-Cent Sales Tax Committee since it meets their criteria for funds for regional parks and trails improvements. Cory made a motion to request funding of $35,000 from the %2-Cent Sales Tax Committee for new playground equipment, boarder and fill at Centennial Park. Seconded by Marge. Motion approved unanimously. The Board also discussed using its own budget for the removal and disposal of the old equipment since that would not qualify for funding from the'/z-Cent Sales Tax Committee. Liaison and Staff Notes Terry stated that once the playground equipment and fill is in at Northland, we should have pictures and some PR done in the Newsleader. Terry is looking into the possibility of re-locating the compost site due to size limitation. Next meeting: City Hall-Monday, July 27 at 7 PM Meeting Adjourned Submitted by Bruce A.
