BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The refuse contract for 2009 - 2011 included a recycling program
entitled Recycle Bank. This program allow residents to be rewarded for their recycle efforts by credit
awards points each time the resident has their recycling bin emptied. The points can be redeemed on
line with rewards from participating vendors.
Representatives from Allied Waste and Recycle Bank will be present to provide an update on the
program and effectiveness.
