Good evening Judy:
Here is a quick update and list of next steps in regards to the North Corridor Scoping Project (CSAH 3 to CSAH 133):
1) The Scoping Document is currently at Mn/DOT and FHWA. for review.
2) After the Mn/DOT and FHWA review, there will be a 30-day agency review period.
3) The Scoping Document will then be released fora 30-day public scoping period (including a public scoping meeting)
4) Following the scoping period, a Scoping Decision Document will be prepared. This document will be reviewed
by Mn/DOT and FHWA and participating agencies.
5) Assuming no revisions to the Scoping Decision Document in response to Mn/DOT and FHWA comments and
participating agency comments, the Scoping Decision Document will be published, concluding the scoping process.
6) Project moves into EIS phase.
With respect to the North Corridor East-EA/EAW:
1) The revised EA has been transmitted to Mn/DOT and FHWA for review and approval.
2) As soon as we receive approval from Mn/DOT and FHWA, the EA/EAW will be released for public and agency review,
including a 30-day comment period.
3) After the 30-day comment period, we'll need to go through the process of prepare a Findings of Fact and Conclusion
Document for the City Council. This document will be used by the City (through a resolution) to determine the need for
and EIS. This step will close out the State review process.
4) This resolution will be packaged along with the Findings of Fact and Conclusion as part of the EA Update/Request for
FONSI to FHWA.
5) After FHWA signs off on the FONSI, the Federal environmental review process is complete for North Corridor-East.
