BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Assistant Fire Chief and three Captains positions were posted this
past September and 7 -members applied. The Investigating Committee met two weeks ago to discuss
the interested members, who are Justin Honer for Assistant Chief and Mark Winter, Ken Jacobson, Dave
Salzer, Kurt Krekeleberg, Shirley Brill, and Paul Phillip for Captain. Brian Orcutt is stepping down as
Captain.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: None
ATTACHMENTS: None
REQUESTED ACTION: Request that the Fire Board take the recommendation from the Fire Chief and
move forward to the City Council to appoint Justin Honer as Assistant Chief fora 2-year term, Ken
Jacobson and Mark Winter for Captains fora 2-year term and Dave Salzer for Captain fora 1-year term.
