AGENDA ITEM: 2010 Non -Union Compensation: 2010 wage free with
step increases only, establishing the HSA deductible at the same contribution rate as premium and re-
affirming vacation carry over to be equal to what is earned in a calendar year.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The compensation is the same as discussed at a recent meeting. The
City in the past has allowed exempt employees to carry the amount of vacation they earn in one year.
This was never formalized as an amendment to the policy but as exempt employees were hired they
were told they could carry what they earn.
