AGENDA ITEM: Surplus Property — Requested Action: Declare truck #24
(1995 Ford Pickup), as surplus property allowing the same to be sold through sealed bids.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Property purchased with public funds cannot be disposed of without the
governing body declaring the property surplus. Once declared surplus the City can dispose of through a
public sale process. While the truck is no longer operating and is cost prohibitive to repair, there may
be someone interested in fixing the vehicle. Therefore, we are requesting authorization to sell the truck
through the sealed bid process.
