AGENDA ITEM: Park Equipment — Requested Action: Accept the quote from
Minnesota Wisconsin Playground in the amount of $ 4,387.38 for a swing set for Northland Park.

BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The Park Board is recommending the Council
accept the quote from Minnesota Wisconsin Playground equipment to complete the playground
equipment in Northland Park. The first phase was constructed in 2009.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Council has previously approved and purchased play ground equipment
for Northland Park.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Northland Park equipment was installed in 2009. The play area was
oversized for the placement of a future swing set. The previous equipment did not include swings for
the play area. The park board has budgeted for a swing set to be purchased in 2010.
BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: $4,387.38 — Park Funds plus installation with a total estimated cost of $
7,500.

Minnesom Playground, Inc. will not be responsible for accepting delivery or storage of equipment, Bite preparation, unforeseen obstructions (may incur additional charges), or disposal of packaging materials. Owner or
General Contractor shall hold Minnesom Wisconsin Playground, Inc. harmless in the event of injury due to insufficient resilient safety surface. Owner is responsible for direct access to site for large trucks. A flat dirt
surface should be prepared prior to our arrival. Unless otherwise stated all excavated material is to remain on site and all installation shall be done in one trip. All material is guaranteed specified. All works is to be completed
in a workmanlike manner according to standard practice. Any alteration or division from above specifications involving extra cam must be executed upon written orders and will become an extra charge ova and above
the purchase agreement. All Agreements are contingent upon strikes, accidents or delays beyond our control. Owner is to carry fire, tornado and other necessary insurance.
