Backgrounnd:
The EDA/sttaff continue tto promote doowntown redeevelopment. AAs you recall, land-
streetscapee planning is uunderway as commissioneed by the EDAA. Goals of thhe planning
(and eventuual construction) are to tie the following areas togethher with meanningful visual
linkages: WWobegon Traill Center, Colleege Avenue, Minnesota Sttreet, and Minnnesota Streeet
to the west toward new CCSAH 2 areaa.
Randy Schmitz and Clarissa Cooperr from Scenicc Specialties ppresented infformation at the
February reegular EDA mmeeting whichh illustrated “tthemes" deveeloped to tie tthe design woork
together ass well as targget 9-10 areaas where dessign work could be done to connect the
downtownaand the Wobeegon Trail.
As agreed at the Februuary meeting, Schmitz annd Cooper wiill present finnal draft design
th
ideas to thee EDA at the AApril 28 meeeting.
