Backgrounnd:
The City haas received afor developmment plan review relating too the expansion
n application

of the St. Joseph Meatt Market retaail facility at 26 1Avenuue Northwest. The planned
expansion wwould increasse the building size from 4,222 s.f. to 7,224 s.f. (3,0002 sf addition)).
The planneed expansion necessitatess a review of required off street parkingg. The planned
expansion and review oof parking proovides an oppportunity for tthe City to revview downtowwn
business owwners’ concerns regardingg availability oof public parkiing.
At a staff mmeeting earliier this month we revieweed the requeest as it relattes to potenttial
redefinition of parking in the vicinnity. The Citty Engineer is currently working on a
CONCEPTUAL layout oof parking in tthe areas inccluding City HHall and the MMeat Market. A
concept is expected too be compleeted for the meeting nexxt Wednesdaay and will be
distributed at that time.
In the meantime, attachhed please finnd an aerial mmap of the arrea under connsideration and
expansion pplans submittted by Harveyy Pfannensteiin.
Action:
Discussion regarding thee potential to create/reconffigure parkingg arrangemennts in the
subject area is kindly reqquested.
