Minutes for February 22nd, 2010 Meeting

Approval of January 25,2010 Minutes Lonnie voted in favor and Cory 2 the motion.

Approval of Agenda Lonnie voted in favor and Chad 2 the motion. Motion Passed
Welcome New Members
Anne Glynn-Buckvold, Jennifer Steinkamp, Chad Hausmann
Intros of new and current members.
Cory talked about how the park board runs and the roles of the members. He also asked
new members to give comments at any time. Marge talked about Terry’s role with the
park board and Cory agreed. Terry talked about what he works on for the park board and
repairs, Cory than explained the ½ sales tax and the Master Park Plan, (each member has
a master park plan book.)
Treasurers Report
No changes to the Treasures Report
Lonnie talked about the Development and the budget and about funding, Cory added that
the fees for the parks such as; Frisbee golf and camping. (Where does the money go?)
Capital Improvement Plan
Cory talked about the budget and how the money was spent on Development. Cory talked
about the Park and Rec department and the soft ball park. Terry talked about the Lions
club donating the steel for the millstream roof and the park benched down Hwy 121.
Terry also adds he would like a hockey rink in Klinefelter Park. That if it was a cement
slab that it could be utilized for basket ball in the summer. Terry said that he hire
sentence to serve to help with the parks. Cory talked about the ½ sale and how the park
board received the money. Terry said he would like to be the one to order the materials,
this way he would be able to track the shipping information. The Park Board agreed.
The park board decided on Nature (color) for the playground equipment in Centennial

park Lonnie made a motion and Marge 2 the motion and the motion passed. Terry said
the there will be timbers and a border. The swing in Northland park was discussed and
Lonnie made a motion to choose Green for the swing and the handicap chair and Marge

2, Motion passed.
Terry Thene
Terry talked about the light at the tip of the sled hill and about grading the land.
Marge
Talked about the sinking in the ground of the monument, she did research and found
sources that may cover the reconstruction, to correct the sinking problem. She talked with
the Stearns Co Historical Society.
Liaison
Renee talked about Code of Ethics and the open meeting law also if we can meet on site
and fundraising.
