PREVIOUS PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: With the proposed addition to the St. Joseph Meat Market, the staff
has been looking at alternative parking for the downtown area, including reconfiguring the property
owned by the City. While the St. Joseph Meat Market meets the parking requirements, the same
Ordinance requires perimeter parking. In the downtown area this may not be as applicable and staff
would like some direction on whether the Planning Commission would consider looking at this provision
in the downtown area. One suggestion would be to form a sub committee of Planning Commission,
EDA, City Council and affected property owners to see if a master parking area could be achieved. This
is for discussion only at the meeting.
