AGENDA ITEM: New Insurance Requirements
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The city received an e-mail for our insurance provider last week stating
that any truck that is older than 10 years old must get inspected by a reputable garage before 12 -23 -10
or the vehicles will be deleted from the replacement cost physical damage coverage endorsement.
BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of getting Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 4 DOT certified will be roughly $80
per truck per year as long as they don't find any other issues.
ATTACHMENTS: I have talked to Terry with the city maintance, and we have both agreed to send them
to Maney International in St. Cloud to get the work done.
