HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010 [03] Mar 22 Minutes for March 22, 2010 Meeting Members Present Marge Lesnick, Renee Symanietz, Terry Thene, Lonnie Abbott, Anne Buckvold, Jennifer Steinkamp, Chad Hausmann nd Approval of February 22, 2010 Minutes Marge voted in favor and Lonnie 2 the motion. Motion passed nd Approval of Agenda Jennifer voted in favor and Chad 2 the motion. Motion Passed Treasurers Report No changes to the Treasures Report Lonnie said nothing bought nothing spent Park Dedication funds Chad asked if this is the balance before the funds for the equipment, Terry said that part of this will be paid by the ½ cents sales tax. Capital Improvement Plan Terry said the items are ordered and the equipment is expected in about 3 weeks. Monument Park Marge met with Ellie Stewart of the St. Joseph Historical Society and she needed three quotes for the repairs on the monument with the Park Board's final approval. I contacted Amcom Blocks to help find people who specialize in this type of repairs. Chad has someone in mind and would like to have that person look at the site and put in a bid. The Stearns County Historical Society has funds that are set aside for anything pertaining to our Historical site and all requests have to go through our St. Joseph Historical Committee which they are more than happy to do. Working with Terry in getting bids and will report back at the next meeting. Terry Thene Terry handed out time sheets and explained how to fill them out, he also added, that Josh Loso, an Eagle Scout, will be working on the bathroom and putting in a drinking fountain as a service project. Also Terry will be talking to other Eagle Scout for projects. Marge wanted to know how much the cost of the drinking fountain, Terry didn’t know. Terry said he is looking for other projects in the parks. Terry said in Millstream Park the Lions will be putting on a new roof in April Terry said in Centennial park, Kevin at CNL will bring equipment to rough out the boarder for no chard and level the land. Terry found the boarder for $11-$16 a foot for the same boarder we had before, he said the cost is too high and that we should go with green treated. Chad asked what is the cost of the green treated timber was, Terry said he would be able to use it from the other parks. Jennifer asked, when the porta potties will be going into the parks, Terry said soon, and that the cost is $75.00 a month for each pottie. Liaison Renee Asked, about the Trail and if the Chamber is managing it? No one knew anything about it. Renee also mentioned that the compost site will be opening soon.
