of this will be paid by the ½ cents sales tax.
Capital Improvement Plan
Terry said the items are ordered and the equipment is expected in about 3 weeks.
Monument Park
Marge met with Ellie Stewart of the St. Joseph Historical Society and she needed three quotes
for the repairs on the monument with the Park Board's final approval. I contacted Amcom Blocks
to help find people who specialize in this type of repairs. Chad has someone in mind and would
like to have that person look at the site and put in a bid. The Stearns County Historical Society
has funds that are set aside for anything pertaining to our Historical site and all requests have to
go through our St. Joseph Historical Committee which they are more than happy to do. Working
with Terry in getting bids and will report back at the next meeting.
Terry Thene
Terry handed out time sheets and explained how to fill them out, he also added, that Josh
Loso, an Eagle Scout, will be working on the bathroom and putting in a drinking fountain
as a service project. Also Terry will be talking to other Eagle Scout for projects. Marge
wanted to know how much the cost of the drinking fountain, Terry didn’t know. Terry
said he is looking for other projects in the parks.
Terry said in Millstream Park the Lions will be putting on a new roof in April
Terry said in Centennial park, Kevin at CNL will bring equipment to rough out the
boarder for no chard and level the land. Terry found the boarder for $11-$16 a foot for
the same boarder we had before, he said the cost is too high and that we should go with
green treated. Chad asked what is the cost of the green treated timber was, Terry said he
would be able to use it from the other parks.
Jennifer asked, when the porta potties will be going into the parks, Terry said soon, and
that the cost is $75.00 a month for each pottie.
