BACKGROUND INFORMATION: During the negotiations with St. Benedict on the Sewer Agreement, the
Sewer Rate Ordinance was reviewed and it was determined that all the Utility Rate Ordinances need to
be updated. While the City Council annually reviewed the rates and changes to the rate structure, the
Ordnances were not updated at the same time. Therefore, the staff is working on updating all utility
rate Ordinances for the Council to review and adopt. The update of the Ordinances will not change how
users are charged, it is just an update reflecting current adopted practices.
