AGENDA ITEM: Strong Beer License — Requested Action: Approve the Issuance
of a Strong Beer License to Biddley's Deli.

BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The City Council approved the annual liquor licenses in June 2010 and at
that time Bo Diddley's only requested a wine license which also allowed for malt liquor.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Bo Diddley's is requesting a license to sell strong beer along with their
current wine and malt beverage license. The additional license includes submittal of proof of liability
insurance, which the City has received. The license does not include any additional fees, only approval
by the Council. The existing license will be amended to included strong beer.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter of request from Bo Diddley
REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Approve the license addendum to allow for the selling of strong beer.

We would like request the issuance of a Strong Beer License for BoDiddley's Deli.
We meet the requirements as we hold an On Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor License, a Wine
License and have provided a certificate of insurance verifying our liquor liability
coverage.
