AGENDA ITEM: Membership — New Members
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On July 13 2010, 3 new members joined the St. Joseph Fire
Department. They are Brian Arms (comes to us with his FF 1 class already complete and is also EMT
certified), Mike Schmotzer (is also EMT certified), and Brent Johnson. They have been though a couple
of our trainings and have been on some calls and seem to be fitting in well.
BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: Cost of send Mike and Brent through FF1 class and Brent through First
responder class. (We wrote a Training grant for the FF1 class)

REQUESTED ACTION: Already approved to hire the three
