BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Per City Ordinance No. 62 each organization conducting lawful gambling
within the City of St. Joseph is required to submit copies of their monthly state tax returns to City Hall on
a quarterly and annual basis. Per review of the tax returns it some organizations are sufficiently
supporting the local community while others are not. Those that have not provided 10% gambling
donations to the community typically provide donations in other quarters of the year. Examples of how
the organizations are giving back to the community include the following items:

St. Joseph Kidstop Lab School Spring Spectacular Funeral Services
Big Brothers /Big Sisters Food Shelf Cookies Flags
Kennedy Booster Club City Street Beatification Project City Street Signs
