RE: Participattion in Conceppt Planning: GGateway and Walz Propertties
Backgroundd
Mr. Brian Schhoenborn is requesting thee EDA consider participatinng in conceptt planning for the
“Gateway” prroperty and a portion of thee “Walz” propperty both adjaacent to the CCSAH 2/I-94
intersection.
The two propperty owners hhave assembbled project deescriptions/coost estimates as illustratedd in the
attachment too this memo. The total cosst of the project is $9,300 ssplit nearly eqqually between the two
property ownnership groups. Schoenborrn is requestinng the EDA consider contrributing $3,0000 toward
the developmment of conceepts for the prroperties.
The scope off the project iss itemized in the attached estimate and includes: prooject researchh and
initiation, a design workshhop (with propperty owners, not public), reefinement of preferred opttions
(conceptual lot lines, bldg locations, lanndscaping, sitte amenities, accesses loccations, streett/ROW
layout, parkinng locations), and characteer sketches/mmodeling.
Action:
This item is for your inforfmmation and disscussion as the EDA conteemplates poteential uses off capital
program fundds and excesss TIF proceedds. The $30000 expendituree would need to be approvved by the
City Council.
