The Council discussed the matter at the September 16 Council meeting and decided to allow residents the opportunity to comment on the suggestion before expending funds to draft an Ordinance. At the October 7, 2010 Council meeting the Council accepted testimony and by motion decided not to draft such an amendment. Parking Ordinance At the September Planning Commission meeting a public hearing was held on a number of Ordinance Amendments and recommended approval of all with the exception of the Corridor Overlay which is still in progress. The Council accepted the recommendation of the Planning Commission on all the amendments with exception of the Parking provisions. The Council requested reconsideration of the amendment relating to parking pads in residential areas. The staff will be gathering additional information and discussing at their November staff meeting with information for the December Planning Commission meeting. OA Process The final documents are being drafted by the City / Township attorney to reflect the modifications from the October hearing. Once this is complete the Township will act on the documents and then the City Council. It is anticipated that the new process will be in effect in the beginning of 2011.
