The photographs taken of your building(s) and property will assist in a visual manner to further support your written project description. As tenants leased out the spaces for Mill Stream Shops we portioned out square footage and entrances based on the businesses needs. Due to this, we ended up with an avorox 550 sq foot space that will be perfect for a small retail, but lacks a street front entrance because of how the other business spaces were allotted. Our application is for: Assistance in the purchase and installation of street front/ door access to this small retail space, described above. Having the door in place will assist in the showing and presentation of the space, and encourage a prospective business in the potential of the retail space. Ultimately, anv business leasing that space will need a street front entrance. The door will be an identical commercial grade door as the other doors in this building, meeting all current building and ADA codes. This door would be part of a two -door air chamber entrance to discourage heat and cooling loss every time the door is opened. The entrance would be shared with Wellness Arts, allowing that entrance to be more energy efficient as well, as it would now be part of the air chamber entrance. (One exterior door and two internal doors, one opening to the right and one to the left.) The funds we are applying for would help us purchase the door and assist in the labor for installation of the door. Thank you for your consideration on this! We really want to get another retail business into Mill Stream Shops, downtown St. Joseph, and receivinq these funds would be a big contribution toward us readying that space! Based on the description of your project and your motivation for wanting to make these improvements, please place a check mark next to those project preference item you feel your project meets. X Will positively contribute to the City's revitalization /renewal efforts. Will eliminate a blighting influence. Will result in a visible improvement that would not be made otherwise. x Result in a ratio of private investment to public investment greater than 2:1.(Mill Stream Shops Overall) Page 4 of 27 The information on this application is accurate.
