Just a quick follow up on the request for EDA participation in concept planning for the Walz/Gateway property concept planning effort. As you recall the EDA authorized participation at a $1,000 level (after project completion /invoicing and providing City/EDA is able to use all products for marketing purposes) for concept planning. Agreements with planning consultants are being executed with project commencement expected this year. 4. CSAH 2 Construction. The County's contracted assessor for right of way acquisition for this project is wrapping up his work on this project. We continue to exchange information on a weekly basis. 5. CEDS CIP Projects. The SCAEDP has requested an itemized list of local projects considered for inclusion in CEDS information. Please find attached a tentative list of projects which I submitted on behalf of the EDA based on previous discussions, goal setting, and planning. If adjustments are desired we can reflect those on a local webpage. The deadline was very quick and fell between EDA meetings. Steve Frank Bob Loso 1. Farm to School Program. I've had several phone conversations with the School Renee Symanietz Nutritionist from Winona Public Schools about the genesis of the District's successful Dale Wick farm to school effort. I'd like her to share information with the EDA so as to further clarify the potential 'facilitator role the EDA could perform. She is available for a EDA conference call on Dec. 15th after 3 p.m. She has an extremely interesting perspective Carolyn Yaggie- and is a valuable resource as we continue planning for some sort of introductory Heinen meeting. FYI, she was exposed to the concept of a farm to school program during a Ken Jacobson 'speed dating' type event which matched local food producers, processors, distributors, Al Rassier and end - users. It was organized by a local land stewardship program with participation Tom Skahen from the EDA and Mn. Extension Office. Dale Wick 2. Kay's Kitchen. The property boundaries have finally been clarified for the former Cedar Street abutting Kay's Kitchen. The City Council will soon be considering a limited easement vacation request. The City Engineer's Office has clarified the property is under City control vs. County control. The resolution of this issue so allow for furthering our landscaping /beautification efforts for the NW quadrant of the CSAH 75 /College Avenue intersection. Tanya Finken is still very interested in working with the City to soften the intersection. 3. Gateway/Walz Concept Planning — CSAH 2.
