BACKGROUND INFORMATION: In order for the City to complete the financial transaction converting the
principal stock into cash, the holding company needs an executed resolution authorizing an official representative
that can act on behalf of the City. The City owns 1661 shares of stock and $10,000 was used a revenue stream for
the 2010 budget to help offset the medical insurance costs. As of 3:00 PM on Monday, the stock had a value of $
54,048.94 which is up about $16,000 since July of this year. The dividends received by the City this year was
approximately $ 925.
The resolution and certification will allow the transaction to occur.

City of St. Joseph
Resolution Designating Official Representative
Financial Transactions
WHEREAS, the City of St. Joseph was incorporated as Minnesota municipality on January 17,1890; and
WHEREAS, the City of St. Joseph was incorporated as a Statutory City under a weak Mayor Council
structure, with the City Council acting as a policy board; and
WHEREAS, the City Council consists of Rick Schultz, Mayor and Dale Wick, Renee Symanietz, Bob Loso
and Steve Frank Councilors; and
WHEREAS, the City of St. Joseph has appointed Judy Weyrens as City Administrator whose responsibility
includes financial management and oversight of the City operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the St. Joseph City Council authorizes Judy Weyrens to make
transactions on behalf of the City of St. Joseph.
