AGENDA ITEM: State Fire Convention
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Fire Board has typically authorized 2 members to attend the Yearly
State Fire Convention. This year the convention is in Detroit Lakes June 2, 3, 4. Along with the Fire
Relief Assoc., we have been offering to send up to 4 members to the convention for the past
20+ years. It is a great opportunity for members to get some new or advanced training. It also
give them a chance to meet with other members of other departments to see how they handle
their emergency calls compared to how we do them. They then can bring back what they have
learned and pass it on to the rest of our members
BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of 2 members' Per -Diem, Hotel, Classes, Meals, and Mileage
ATTACHMENTS: No, I have not received any material on this as of yet.
REQUESTED ACTION: Have the Fire Board approve 2 members to attend the State Fire Convention
