AGENDA ITEM: City Engineer Reports
a. Park Terrace Improvement
SUBMITTED BY: Administration
BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The City Council accepted the feasibility report for the proposed 2012
Park Terrace Improvement Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: If the Council wishes to consider moving forward with the proposed
improvements to Park Terrace a public hearing must be scheduled. The hearing notice for an
improvement requires published notices and mailed notice to all affected property owners. Due to the
number of residents staff is proposing to conduct the hearing at the Fire Hall on April 14, 2011 at 7:00
PM.
For your convenience we have prepared a proposed schedule of events. In preparing the schedule it
was discovered that there is not enough time to meet required deadlines to consider any part of the
improvement for construction this year. The timing is too close. Therefore, we have prepared a
schedule for construction in 2012.
BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: 2.4 M Improvement debt funded partially with special
assessment, tax levy and utility rates.
