In 2009 the Economic Development Authority authorized a landscape /streetscape plan by

A copy of the full plan will be available at the EDA meeting for reference /review. Attached to this
memo are images relating to property owned by the City on either side of the water tower (i.e.
next to Wobegon Trail), potential landscaping /entry marker signage for softening CSAH
75 /College Avenue intersection, and potential median treatments for CSAH 75 /College and
CSAH 75/133.
The landscape /streetscape plan was accepted by the City Council in June of 2010 and
presented to the Chamber of Commerce at an October meeting. Since the document was
accepted by the Council, the EDA has been working on various components of the plan (e.g
with Kay's Kitchen and with another property owner) in an attempt to get the project started. At
this point those projects have not moved to a successful conclusion.
In order to continue attempting to implement the landscaping /streetscaping discussion by the
EDA is kindly requested. Perhaps discussion could include working with the Park Board on the
portion of the plan applicable to the property near the water tower and /or softening the
intersection at CSAH 75 /College Avenue.
