BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The parking lot at the Fire Hall was last seal coated in 2008 by Seal King
and is budgeted to be done every two - three years. In 2008 Seal King charged us $3,333.08 which
included the restriping of the parking stalls. Terry, from the maintance department, had Aztec into give
him a bid on resealing some city streets and I asked him to get me a bid on the Fire Hall also. According
to Aztech, they feel that the tar needs to be rejuvenated by putting the rock base down. They said that
sometimes all the sealing does is make it look black for a while, but what the parking lot needs, is to
have the rock base to help it last longer. They did not offer a written quote, but said if we would do it
when they are in to do the city streets, it would be about $2,550.00 (2962 sq yd at .85 cents) plus the
cost to have someone come and restripe the lot. Seal Kings bid for sealing and stripping is $2,674.00

budget for this every year and have a balance of $21,066.92 after 2011)

1. Power edge grass along both sides of asphalt creating a neat and manicured finish.
2 H igh power blowers and rotating gas powered sweepers remove dirt and debris from asphalt
surface prior to the application of Seal King seeder.
3. Oil Spots are lightly scuffed and treated with a special oil primer ensuring a good adhesive
seeder bond over fresh oil.
4. Furnish and apply heavy duty coating of Seat King professional grade seeder.
5. Sealer will be applied using professional applicationstools and equipment.

Liquid asphalt suers in conjunction with high performance polymer additives and silica
sand give our material the durability to stand up to extreme climate Conditions. Our
crackfillers are premium hot rubber material preventing water penetration that can cause
heaving and shifting asphalt.
PROPER MIXING EQUIPMENTAND FACILITIES
Seal King stores 6,000 gallons of liquid asphalt sealer which is then pumped into a 1,000
gallon full -sweep agitator tank. Silica sand, high performance additives and water are
blended together. Liquid meters calculate the et amount of each ingredient. All products
are stored in our climate- oontrolled warehouse.

2 Any balance unpaid after 30 days is subject to a finance charge of 18% per annum (1.5% per month).

explosion, failure of equipment, strikes, differences with workmen, compliancewith orders of agovernment
agency, interruption in delivery of materials, or from any cause beyond his reasonable control.
4. The contract price does Ind ude taxes (no extra charges).
5. The Contractor shall indemnify the Owner from all claims because of any damages sustained by any person or
property on account of the operations of the Contractor in carrying out this contract.
