BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Each year, there is a convention put on somewhere in the state
for all fire chief's and assistant's. These are put together to help chiefs /assistants in the new
laws, training, equipment, and overall managing a fire department. The offer some very good
seminars and classes that are not always available throughout the year. Over the past, the Fire
Board has always approved to send the Chief and Assistant. This year the conference is in St.
Cloud.:(
BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: $175.00 per member plus 3 day per diem per member. No Hotel stay due to
the location of the conference this year.

REQUESTED ACTION: Have the Fire Board approve to send the chief and assistant to this years
conference in St. Cloud
