AGENDA ITEM: Parking Pads.

BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Commission has
twice considered an amendment recommending approval both times, only to have the Council deny the
amendment. The Planning Commission agreed to review again provided the Council provides additional
direction as to what they are looking for in an ordinance.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The Council agreed to discuss the parking pad Ordinance and
determine what guidelines should be amended.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Included in the packet material are the two different ordinance
amendments recommended by the Planning Commission along with the provisions from some of the area
Cities.

REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Provide direction to the Planning Commission if an amendment
is required or determine to not require parking pads resolving the outstanding item.
