Fire Board Agenda Item 5 -4 4 MEETING DATE: February 21st, 2012 AGENDA ITEM: Pagers BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Each member is given a pager the day they start with the Fire Department, and are encouraged to carry it on their side 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the next 20 years. Sometimes, a member misplaces it or loses it. I understand that quite a few years ago, the Fire Chief and Fire Board had a discussion about what to do if someone loses their pager but the only thing that anybody can remember is that it will cost the member $50.00 the first time. BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: $550.00 per pager ATTACHMENTS: No REQUESTED ACTION: At a cost of $ 550.00 a pager, I would like to discuss with the Fire Board what happens if and when a member loses their pager the first, second,....ect
