AGENDA ITEM: Safety Vest
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Back in 2008, the Fire Chief asked for the Fire Boards approval to
purchase 30 safety vest (1 for each member) for the use on accidents / fires when we are on public roads.
At that time, we went with a tear away vest believing that this was the best options for us. Over the past
few years, the Velcro that holds these together are losing their grip and are causing some concerns with
getting caught on objects and possibly causing some injuries. We would like to look at replacing these
with zipper up models.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: Estimated $1500.00 for 30 new vest ($50.00)

REQUESTED ACTION: Discuss with the Fire Board and get approved for the new Safety vest
