HomeMy WebLinkAbout[06c] Approval of CIP Distribution Administrator Date: May 16, 2012 Judy Weyrens Memo To: Members of the EDA Mayor City Administrator Weyrens Rick Schultz Memo From: Cynthia Smith - Strack, MDG, Inc. Councilors RE: CIP Redistribution Steve Frank Bob Loso Renee Symanietz Background. Dale Wick The EDA recommends and the City Council sets a capital projects budget on an annual basis. EDA As in years past, the EDA has several on -going capital projects. Due to various uncertainties transfers between capital project line items are occasionally needed to reflect adjustments Larry Bosch made as the nature of economic development projects change. Chad Davey Steve Frank Please find attached the approved CIP and spending to date in 2012. A second spreadsheet Tom Skahen attached illustrates proposed redistribution between line items that accurately reflect what Dale Wick occurred over the previous 12 months. The following redistribution is proposed: 1. Transfer of $6,500 from Line 1202 (Let's Go Downtown) to Line 1208 (Demolition Grant Program). The $6,500 is asbestos abatement for Cone Castle from 2011, we did not have a demolition grant program line item in 2011. 2. Zero out the following project lines with transfers from Line 1202 (Let's Go Downtown): a) Line 1206 (Producer /Processor Institute) which was closed in 2011. b) Line 1204 (Rental Conversion) which is on hold. c) Line 1205 (CSAH 2/3). Action. Following review, a MOTION to approve redistribution between CIP project lines is kindly requested.
