AGENDA ITEM: Transportation Plan

BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The Transportation Committee reviewed and
recommended changes to update the 2006 Transportation Plan.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: On April 19 the City Council received the proposed amendment to the
transportation plan and a presentation was made before the City Council. On May 3, 2012 the Council agreed to
conduct on open house to invite the public to comment on the plan. This meeting was scheduled for 6:00 PM June
7 and was advertised two consecutive weeks in the St. Joseph Newsleader.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Engineer will report on the open house comments and the Council will
then have to decide if the plan is ready to advance to adoption or if additional information is needed. The action in
part will depend on public comments received an if any comments required additional follow through.

clarification that matter can be brought back at the next meeting.
