JOSEPH Council Agenda Item 4(d) MEETING DATE: July 19, 2012 AGENDA ITEM: Election Judges — Requested Action: Appoint Election Judges for the August 14 State Primary and November 6 State General Election. SUBMITTED BY: Administration BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Minnesota Statute requires that municipalities appoint Election Judges. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: For each election the City Council is required to appoint Election Judges to serve on Election Day. Each precinct must have a minimum of four judges at all times. The judges presented on the attached list will serve for both the Primary and General Election. In the event that additional judges are needed for the General, a supplemental list of judges will be presented to the Council for appointment. Bartlett, Lori Klaphake, Jerry Bechtold, Herb Lansing, Betty Bechtold, Darlene Lyon, Kathy Dambowy, Rosella Pfannenstein, Jan Ethen, Bernadette Reber, Jane Ethen, Robert Scherer, Ann Generous, Mary Schloemer, Barb Hartmann, Mary Schneider, Joann Hazen, Stephanie Schneider, Gladys Hazen, Michael Trinklein, Carol Schuh, Jack Weyrens, Judy Meyer, Roman BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: Election Judges are paid $ 10.00 per hour with a total cost of approximately $ 3,000, of which has been budgeted.
