Spring Clean-up
WHO: Participants in the City Refuse Program
WHAT: Almost everything with the following
exceptions: Appliances, Tires,
batteries, pollutants, yard waste, com-
puter monitors and televisions.
WHERE: Curbside your residence.
WHEN: Thursdays, May 28th and June 4th, be
ginning at 6:00 AM
APPLIANCES will be collected on:
Saturday, June 6, 2009 ONLY
Street Flooding
With Spring around the corner, the
Public Works Director is asking that
residents have patience with street
flooding. This time
of year day time
thawing and evening
freezing cause storm
drains to freeze re-
suiting in temporary
street flooding. The
maintenance staff
will be working to keep them open.
From 7:00 AM to 12 noon, City Off-
ice Parking lot
Residents are limited to TWO appliances per
household. Be prepared to present identification
as proof of residency. Computer monitors and
televisions are no longer accepted.
This is a service for the St. Joseph residents who
currently receive weekly refuse removal. Over
the past years we have seen an increase in refuse
during the cleanup periods and have also seen
vehicles bringing garbage into the City. So that
the City may continue to offer this service to the
residents, people bringing garbage into the City,
who are not participants in the City refuse pro-
gram will be prosecuted.

City Council News
The St. Joseph City Council has
scheduled two public hearings for
Apri12, 2009. They are as follows:
1. Ordinance Matrix-Table
indicated Ordinances that include
fines with proposed fines.
2. Fee Schedule- Fee
schedule for all services and li-
censes.
Both documents are available on the
City website: cityofstjoseph.com.
The hearings will be held at 7:00
PM in the City Council Chambers.
Summer Youth Activities

With Spring in the air it is time to plan for summer youth activities.
The youth activities have been expand this year adding an
evening ball progam. This program is coordinated through Community
Volunteers. Details are available on the City website: cityofstjoseph.com,
} at the City Offices and flyers will be delivered to both St. Joseph Schools.
The St. Cloud Boys and Girls Club will be offering daytime recreation ac-
tivities including theater, bowling, cooking etc. Watch the website for details.
