Members Present: Marguerite Fogarty(Secretary), John Anderson(Chairman), Lonnie Abbott,
Terry Thene (Staff Liaison), Andrew Deuhs, Sharon Anderson
Call to Order: 6:30 p.m.

Terrv Thene:
Earth Day is Monday,April, 22. An activity could be planned for the Saturday or Sunday before.
Activities might include Scout clean-up and possible tree planting.
The Parking Lot for the archery range has the gravel placed. All donated by C&L. The Lions
donated$2,000 for the Pavilion; the gravel is down for that structure. The posts are going in.
Depending on the weather,Terry's crew will continue work on that.
Old Business:
a. Cloverdale Park :
The Board has received several letters of concern from local residents. A Public Meeting
has been set for the December Park Board Meeting on December 17, 2012. Notification
of this meeting will be sent to residents residing near Cloverdale Park. Marguerite will
provide the original large plan designed by Scenic Specialties.
b. Budget for Joe Town Snow Days: (See attached agenda for details)
1. Portabie Restrooms: (Millstream Pavilion, Ba11 Field, Softball Park) $400
2. Medallion and Prize: $100
3. Softball expenses $60(16 single eliminations; Sharon contacted 15 teams. Many were
interested. 9 replied. Some had concerns about shelter accommodations. Sharon will
discuss Umpires at her Rec. Association Meeting.
4. Broomball Expenses; $60
5. Youth Activities; 4 events-$200 in prizes
6. Chi1i; Lonnie will contact possible suppliers.
7. Promotional Expenses; $0
8. Other; Name of event: "Joe Town Snow Town"
New Business•
a. Use of Park Dedication Funds: City Attorney letter was reviewed regarding use of Park
Board Dedication Funds for Senior Community Project. The attorney's response was
"No."
b. Cloverdale Park: The current proposal will be presented to residents. Individuals will be
allowed 3-5 minutes for comments.

Planning Meeting

1. SoftbaIl Trophies; Sharon suggested a budget of$60
2. Bathrooms; Millstream: 1 regular, 1 handicap. Skating Rink: 2 regular. Ball Field: 2
regular. $390 for all sites.
3. Medallion Contest: Andrew will work on clues. The medallion prize will be a cash prize
of$100. Other prizes may be solicited from local businesses. Clues will be published 2
weeks in advance on website. It will be designed to be a family event and possible lead
"hunters" from one park to another. John and Andrew will meet to analyze areas during
daylight hours.
4. Chili: Preparing to feed 100 people. Lonnie volunteered to work on this.
5. Promotional expenses: $0. Internet, Public Information,Newsleader
6. Broomball: Possibly 6 teams organized by St. Bens, St. Johns. lst, 2°a place trophies
amounting to $60. Need for referees??? Marguerite will contact person from CSB and
SJU.
7. Youth Activities: 4 Contests: Snow Sculpture, Snowshoe race, Silver Skate Race,
Sledding Race (best out of 3 runs?) Marguerite will contact person at CSB to have
college organization organize this.
