MEETING DATE: November 7th,2012 AGENDA ITEM: Unit#4 Rescue Van BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Per the Fire Board,the Chief and Assistant made a trip down to Arrow Manufactures in Rock Rapids 1A to look at their reconditioned Rescue Vans. They showed us the entire area from where they take off the box,to where they redo the box and put it on a new chassis. He gave us three box styVes to choose from and stated that the chassis warranty is whatever the manufactures has and the box is 1 year, but their company takes care of their customers even after the 1 year. After the$20,000.00 trade in,the price's are$78,360,$83,360, or$86,360.This includes a lettering allowance and Chevron Stripping on the rear. We would also add a back up camera at an estimate of$800.00.They could have a truck ready for delivery in 8-10 weeks. Everest seUs brand new"Road Rescue"vans with an estimated cost of a gas model similar to what we specked out with Arrow of$137,000 and he believes we could sell our old van for about$15,000 to$17,000.
