AGENDA ITEM: Recomendation of Officers
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The position of Fire Chief for a 2 year term is open this year with the
current chief,Jeff Taufen being the only application. We had four members apply for the 2-2 year and
1 1-year positions of Captain. They are Dave Salzer(current), Paul Phillipp(current),Shirlie Brill,and Dan
Muyres. The Fire Departments investigating committee met and discussed and are making a
recommendation to the Fire Soard for Jeff Taufen as the Fire Chief, Dave Salzer and Pau1 Phillipp for the
2 2-year Captains positions,and Dan Muyres for the 1 year Captain position.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: No
ATTACHMENTS: No
REQUESTED ACTION: Have the Fire Board approve the recommendations of Officers made by the Fire
Departments Investigating committee.
