AGENDA ITEM: Fire Chief's Report
• Class B License Report: We have two members that do not have this done. Sharon Young's
two year probation ends July 14th,of 2013 and Cory Molitor's probation ends February 14th,
2014. Both of them know and understand that if they do not get this done before the date,
that they may be suspended until it is completed.
• At the February meeting in 2012,the Fire Board approved the purchase of 14 new sets of turn
out gear. We were able to stretch out a few sets and only needed to purchase 9 sets for the
year.
• The new Pumper, Engine#1, is working very well and we are working with all the members
to get them comfortable where everything is and getting as many signed off for pumping and
driving as possible,or that have a desire to.
• The new Rescue Van, Unit#5,was delivered and put into service on 12-12-12. The Fire
Board approved the purchase of a New Chassis with a reconditioned box from Arrow Man.
We did add some more SAFETY Lettering and a back up camera to the truck with the final
price being$79,360.00.
• As of January 31st,we have not received any new information from the FEMA grant we
applied for last year to replace our Air Packs,Air Tanks,and Masks.
• We ended up with record of 316 paged out calls from December 1st,2011 to November 30th,
2012. This is slightly up from the previous year when we ended that year with 304.
