SPRING THAW WARNING:
As the temperatures begin to
warm, we may experience problems associated with the spring
thaw. Just a reminder that fast thaws and cold temperatures
cause storm drains to freeze. The maintenance staff will work
to clear storm drains as soon as they can. The Public Works
department appreciates for your patience during this time.
FROM THE DESK OF THE FIRE CHIEF
Daylight Savings Time is a good time to test all of your
smoke detectors and put in NEW BATTERIES. There should
be a smoke detector in every bedroom and at least one on
every level of your home.
Children do not HEAR smoke, they HEAR smoke detectors.
Place emergency phone numbers on EACH phone. Including
your cell phone
NEVER HIDE FROM A FIRE.... run from it.
Keep stairs FREE of clutter.
Be sure your 911 address is easily visible from the street.
Drive at least 200 ft behind Emergency Vehicles.
While on the road, make sure to move over for all emergency
vehicles .
