AGENDA ITEM: Cloverdale Improvement

BOARD /COMMISSION /COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The master park plan for the Cloverdale
Park suggests that park amenities should include plantings and a sitting area. The Park Board hired
Scenic Specialties to design the park improvements and provide a quote for developing the same. The
quote for development was $ 24,430.76. The project has been included in the 2013 as a development
project which will be funded with park development funds.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The Council accepted the Park Board Budget including the Cloverdale
Park improvments.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Public Work Director has requested the assistance of sentence to
serve to reduce the overall development costs. The Park Board has established a sub - committee to
oversee the project with the Public Works Director leading the project. The Park Board enabling
Ordinance requires the City Council to approve any project over $ 3,000.
BUDGET /FISCAL IMPACT: It is unknown what the actual cost of the project will be, but it
will not exceed the estimate provided by Scenic Specialties
