RESOLUTION 2013-037
RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
Park Terrace Improvements
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted on August 1, 2013, a report has been prepared
by Randy Sabart of SEH with reference to proposed improvement of Park Terrace area by constructing
street, curb, gutter, water, sewer and storm sewer improvements, and this report was received by the
Council on September 23, 2013, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is necessary,
cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some
other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of the
methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ST. JOSEPH, MINNESOTA:
1.The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and the
assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $ 2,400,000.
2.A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 16th day of October, 2013
at the St. Joseph City Hall at 6:30 PM and the clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such
hearing and improvement as required by law.
Adopted by the Council on the 3rd day of October, 2013.
